Just wanted to ask for prayer as I have just been notified that my oncologist, Keith Flaherty, is moving to Mass Gen. Hospital in Boston and I will have to choose a new oncologist. There are 2 others at Univ of Penn, Dr Steven Keefe and Dr Noami Haas, both of whom are experienced with renal cell carcinoma, but not to the extent that Dr Flaherty is. Dr Flaherty has been a fantastic doctor for me. He is extremely respectful and humble and knowledgeable. He genuinely cares and it shows. For example, if he walks through the large crowded waiting room, even if talking with another doctor, he catches my eye and nods and smiles, as if to say, "I am sorry you are waiting and your time and care is important and I am no better than you are". He was just really a wonderful blessing. I also felt he was brilliant, and completely on top of any and all advances in treatment that would be available for me. Anyway, now I need to choose Dr Keefe or Haas, or another hospital / practice. I would appreciate prayer that I would trust in God and God alone for my future, and would wisely choose my next doctor.
Thank you all!
Karen

Hi Karen-
Great news on your post about Dona Dean! What a miracle- I was praying for her and her family that they would have a wonderful time in Disney- great family building time.
I'll be praying for your doctor decision- he sounds like such a good guy. I don't have any contacts but know that God will give you peace and wisdom. Don't forget to ask him- and remind him you are a nurse~!
Love and prayers- and lots of hugs to you all-
Sharon (and Matt)
