Mom is home! She arrived just a few hours ago. She looks great, although she is quite tired from the move. She will most likely need a nurse to come periodically to check on her, so the family will have help keeping Mom from over-exerting herself. As you can see from the previous blog entry, Mom is online and reading your comments. Even some of the doctors at the hospital were reading the blog, and were amazed by the number of people praying for Mom. The doctors continue to be impressed by Mom's complication-free surgery and quick progress with recovery.
Thank you again for your prayers, notes, food, flowers, and offers of help and support. You are all greatly appreciated and have been (and continue to be) a blessing to our family. Keep praying!

Dearest Karen,
We are thrilled beyond words at how far you have come since we first heard of your diagnosis. As you can imagine, we were "rocked" when we heard. It is obvious that God has been so faithful to you and your family and we know by HIS GRACE you have been a witness to the medical staff and many, many others.
Dear friend, please know that we pray constantly ... and I mean constantly ... for you and the family and of course your mom/dad. If my dogs wake me in the wee hours, I pray for you then too.
So glad to hear you are home. We trust you will be able to handle the commotion and get the rest that you need. Just remember, so many want to help so you must allow them that privilege. It is your turn to receive, honey. :-)
Love you much and we'll keep the prayers coming!!

Karen, Evan, Anya, and all the family (sorry not to name you all, but then I'd never get to the message!):
Please know that many more people have been praying for you than you know or have seen messages from! For several days my phone rang (or I dreamed it rang) at around 3:30 am and woke me up - I prayed for you then, and any other time the Lord brought you all to mind. Your whole family is such an encouragement to us - the care and commitment you all have for each other. You are such an example to us - how can we not pray?
The blog is great, keeping us so in touch with what's going on - and thus keeping you on our minds and in our prayers. Thanks so much!

While I do not know you personally, I do know your wonderful daughter Claudia. She volunteers with me in the church nursery! She is a precious child of God!!
Karen, I will continue to pray for God's hand upon our recovery!
Peace, Grace and Mercy be yours in abundance.

Karen, You are quite AMAZING!!! It was just one week ago today you had your surgery. I must say this is one of the fastest recoveries I have ever seen. That's what determination, stubbornness and prayers will do for you. So glad you are home.
Blessings,
Carol Kremer
Karen,
Praise the Lord! You must be so excited to be home! There's no better medicine than being in your own home surrounded by family and loved ones. You've trained them well, so I pray that you will allow them to wait on you, serve you, care for you, and bless you. The Lord has been so good and we give the Him glory for all He has done, and will continue to do, in your life. Our flag, from your store, continually reminds us to pray for your miraculous healing and recuperation. May this trial be a sweet time of fellowship for you with your loving Heavenly Father, as He holds you in the palm of His hand.
In Christ,
Cyndie and Glenn

Amazing!
So glad you're home already! To us it seems fast after what you've been through. To you, I'm sure it's been an extremely long 10 days+.
Take good care of yourself and let others take care of your family.
Praise God for His love and compassion!

Karen,
Hi, We are so happy to hear you are home. Praise the Lord! I'm sure the kids are so happy to have you back.
I want you to know that I can come over and help you with anything you need. I will be happy to help with cleaning or laundry or just helping with the kids. Please don't hesitate to call. Please continue to rest and let yourself heal and recover from the surgery. I know it will be tempting to do more then you should but remember resting will be the best thing for you and your family so you can recover.
So glad you are home. "This is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. God answers prayer!!
God bless,
With our continued love and prayers,
Darlene and Steve Reynolds xoxo
Karen,
I have been praying for you during your hospital stay. I pray for God to continue healing you and giving you strength. I don't know you but I know the compassion in your heart for your family through the AGCI listserve.
Dear Karen,
I just heard about your surgery from Pam Ianacone (apparently her husband works with Bill Calderwood) and wanted you to know that I am and will continue to hold you up in prayer before our gracious and wise heavenly Father.
Love to you and your dear family,
Carol Shatney
