Day by Day

I just got a call from Dad, prompted by Mom, for another update for all of the "Pray-ers" on this blog. Mom is feeling better today than yesterday (this could also have something to do with the fact that her medication seems to be working better). She had another tube removed and is now able to get up by herself in short bits and walk around. She is still hooked up to the IV, and will be for a few more days as her system works back up to being able to digest regular food.

Mom would like me to pass along her thanks to every one of you for your prayers and help over the last week. She is looking forward to looking at the blog in the near future, so keep your notes (and prayers) a'comin.

Dear Karen and Charles,

We have been following your adventure with you since we found out last Wednesday. We have been praying and submitted a prayer request to our church family, Fellowship Bible Church and also our small group that we attend. We are so happy that you are getting stronger everyday and even able to take small walks. Also we are thankful for negative lymph nodes. May God give you continued peace and rest as you recover.

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers,
Love,

Karen,
Hi, hope you are feeling better today then yesterday. I was so happy to see Christina today at church. Seemed weird not seeing you and all your family around in church today. I missed your smiling face. Christina is so sweet I was happy she stopped by my sunday school class and I was able to give her a big hug. We continue to pray for you and Charles and all the children.
We love you. God bless you and give you His strength. The joy of the Lord is our strength. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Love,
Darlene and Steve Reynolds xoxo

Dear Karen,
"He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him."
It made me smile that you wrote on a napkin--will have to make sure they get you some note paper!
We prayed for you at Crossroads Community Presbyterian on Sunday.

All I can say is we love you all and am so glad you, Karen, are starting to feel a little better and are able to get up and walk a little. We also love seeing your kids around COS. If we can help in getting them there (or anyway), let us know.

Karen dear,
When I was struggling with some "things" over a year ago, it always helped me to hear people speak honestly. It brought me comfort to hear simple things like, "I can't believe this is happening!", because that was exactly what I was saying to myself in my head...a lot! It made me feel less alone. So, like you, I'm sure YOU can't believe all this -- neither can we! Such a scary thing to be told without warning that you have cancer; especially since you've been so healthy and robust. It's still hard to believe even as I write this. I'm sure you'll soon be restored to your old self...and like me you'll be able to look back and see what God brought you through. But I'm sorry you have to suffer this pain. You're not alone...as you know.
With love,
Sheryl Weaver White and family

Karen-
Though I am too far to visit you, I make daily "virtual visits" to your blog to update on how you are doing. ":-) I am continuing to pray for you, your family and your doctors. Yesterday night I was flipping through a devotional book my husband was reading and came upon this verse in it and it so touched my heart that I read it several times. "My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalms 73:26

Karen, we are continuing to pray daily for you and your family. We love you so much. We are praying that God will bless you with strength to fight this disease. That He will give you patience to rest and that he will fill your hearts with peace and His inner joy - that can only come from Him. We also pray that you and Charles and the children will impact all those you come in contact with throughout this experience - that you may bring glory to His name and that His gospel message will penetrate and change hearts because of your testimony.
Love from your cousin, Beverly and Mark and family

Karen,
"Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today....The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:13-14
Please know that we continue to intercede to our Heavenly Father on your behalf.
Love, Elaine

Prayers from the eastern shore of Maryland. Sounds like the prayers are holding you up! Isn't God good?! Blessings,

Through the Storm

Storm clouds gather in the western sky.
The view is getting dark.
Waves of pain splash over my vessel,
each one hurts and leaves its mark.
From where this trial came from,
I do not seem to know.
It came when least expected,
threatening life and leaving me low.
Yet my faith gives reason to hope
with every labored breath I take.
He'll use these winds to mold my life,
participation with Christ to make.
In the midst of utter helplessness
I feel the Master's hand.
He will steer my vessel through this storm
and enable me to stand.
My friends join hearts together
seeking healing from above.
I know that God will lead me through
completing his purpose in love.
So as I continue this hard journey
in my little damaged boat,
I'll put my trust in Jesus
and depend on Him to keep me afloat.

Karen,
We continue to pray for you daily. You are in our thoughts and we're so glad to be able to keep abreast with how you're doing through this blogspot. What a great idea! May it be a real encouragement to you.
Charlie, we're praying for you, too, through this difficult and trying time.
We're so thrilled your lymph nodes are clear, Karen. May you take encouragement from that and from all the many prayers brought before the throne of grace on your behalf.

Dear Karen,
We continue to be overwhelmed by all that the Lord has done and continues to do daily in your life. In Romans 5 the Lord reminds us of the peace we have with God through our Lord Jesus Christ and that through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. . . We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, . . . . . because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." We continually uphold you in prayer for God's grace, peace and healing upon your life.

Twitter Fox and Twhirl are useful for who prefer the
instant messaging look and feel a way to use Twitter in
somewhat the same manner. Any business enterprise desiring to get grand success
in their business is suggested to acquire follower's packages from some renowned companies and gather more Twitter followers for their profile. Use software to streamline your social media workflow- BIG time saver. The twitter application is integrated in i - OS5 and is an extension of the twitter website, in the form of an i - Phone application. Companies can use Twitter to interact with both current and potential customers, building brand loyalty and image. Knowing every little detail of that artist leaves no mystery, no spontaneity, no creativity on our part trying to figure out the puzzle, no craving for more.
