Karen is off the ventilator! She is awake, alert, and talking which is all very good news. She is currently in quite a bit of "discomfort" (which is doctor language for pain) as she has to continue to take deep breaths and cough from time to time to aid the healing process, and this causes most of the pain. While this is a great step, and the doctors seem encouraged, please continue to pray for her as she is still in the ICU and in a lot of pain.

Our God is an awesome God and we shall continue to lift you up in prayer! Be strong in the Lord!
Hi Hauber Family,
You are all in our prayers as we read the blog. We appreciate the updates so we can know how to pray more specifically.
Love, The Eichling Family
I am so excited with the good news.We are ALL praying..during the day and at different times during the night. I believe you all have been covered in prayer literally 24 hours/day. The Lord is faithful and loves you very much. (so do we!)
Great news! But we'll continue to pray. As I've struggled with asking "why?," I was encouraged by Jesus' words: "This happened so the power of God could be seen in [her]." I pray this will be true in Mrs. Hauber's life!
I love you all, Elizabeth

Karen you are a wonderful mother. I had the pleasure of spending time with your parents and children today. They have hearts dedicated to Christ and the service of others. They apparently take after their mother. We are praying for you and your family. May God bless you with a speedy recovery. Love- The Bundricks
