Our Goal

Shortly after we decided to created this blog to update friends and family about my mother-in-law's cancer, I was helping my wife's little brother into bed. I sat there with him for a while and talked and prayed with him before saying goodnight. We both had learned about mom's cancer the day before and the dialog went a little like this:

Evan: "Tim, I'm scared."

Tim: "I'm scared too, Evan. But we have lots of people praying for us right now, and I plan on getting a lot more to pray for us before too long."

Evan: "How many people?"

Tim: "I don't know... how about 1000 people"

Evan: "That's not that many people Tim, that's like one church service praying for us. You need to get more than that."

Tim (slightly bemused): "Well, what do you think is a good number?"

Evan (after much thought): "3000 would be good."

So... 3000 it is. It is my hope and prayer that every time you visit this site you will say a little prayer for Karen and her family.

I'll be keeping track of how many different visitors we get to this site, and once we get to 3000, I'll let Evan know.

Dear Evan and Hauber family,

Ron Lukas And I are praying for your mom.

Saturday we will go to Guatemala and continue to pray from there as we continue the Hauber mission of reaching orphans.

On this trip we certainly will be thinking of you Karen and Charlie as we will miss your companionship as travelling partners in this adoption adventure.

MUCH LOVE The Bergdolls

Please tell Evan that many at Delaware County Christian School are praying for his mom and family. Yesterday we had our faculty end-of-the-year luncheon and we all prayed for her then! That means you can add at least 130 to your list!
